Chris Neuswanger (aka "The Mountain Mortgage Guy") I have lived in the Vail Valley since 1979, and been active in many aspects of life in the Vail Valley. I became involved in the mortgage industry in 1994, and initially intended to just learn the business side of it to further my Real Estate sales career, but it soon became a full time career, and the rest, as they say, is history. Every borrowers situation is unique, and there is no "one size fits all". Finding personalized and often innovative solutions is the key to success. Today's mortgage environment is a whirlwind of ever changing rules and regulations and navigating the waters takes a experienced hand and a well studied advisor. I began sharing my knowledge of how to get a mortgage in the Vail Daily in 1999, and have authored over 500 columns dealing with how consumers can get the best mortgage for their needs and how to manage that obligation. Over the years, I have been quoted on CNN, Bloomberg News, the NBC Evening news and my efforts to help consumers have earned mention in Business Week, the Wall St. Journal and the Congressional Record. During off hours I love to be outside, go boating on Lake Dillon, work around the yard and cook dinner for family and friends.
